On this device
Guest pins, favorites and progress are stored in this browser. They are not backed up to an account. Clearing site storage or using another browser will not bring guest data with you.
In your account
Signed-in state is synced through Supabase and cached on this device for quick updates and queued retries. “Synced” means the latest sync succeeded. Pending changes remain on this device until a retry succeeds. We do not sell your progress data.
On first sign-in, guest state fills account states you have not already changed. Existing account states, including removals, take precedence. Different email accounts are not silently merged by this site.
Your map workspace
Custom pins, drawings, text, icons, notes and tracked collections follow the same guest/account storage rules. They are private account data, never public map contributions. Erasing an object keeps a removal record for synchronization, so an old device cannot silently restore it. Each drawing retains its original map reference version. Text is stored as plain text, not executable markup.
Authentication only
Google and Discord provide basic identity information, including your email and profile identity, to Supabase Auth. Email sign-in uses a magic link. We do not request access to your Google files or use provider access tokens. Discord sign-in never joins servers or posts messages.
Signing out
Sign out on a shared computer. This clears the local session and private account cache; synced cloud progress remains for your next sign-in. Pending writes must sync before normal sign-out, so they are not silently discarded. You can explicitly discard pending changes to leave a shared browser immediately. Unrelated guest state is kept; guest data intentionally moved into your account is removed from guest storage.
Supabase manages persistent sessions and automatic refresh. You may need to sign in again after signing out, clearing browser storage, session revocation or an invalid refresh session. No exact session lifetime is promised.
